How it works

Getting started with acquiring power of Attorney is effortless.

You’ll start by answering a few questions, providing your name and email and, if you like what you hear, instruct a professional company to write your Powers of Attorney.

Our panel writes hundreds of Power of Attornies every month, and the service costs far less than the services of a high street solicitor.

Get started now and relax, knowing that you and your family is completely protected, no matter what happens to you.

You’re under no obligation to do anything, either.

Keeping disruption to a minimum

In 2009, great-grandmother and dementia sufferer Betty Figg was taken from her daughter’s home and returned to a care home against her wishes and those of her family. Daughter Rosalind had been confronted at her doorstep by a group of social workers and police, because the local authority in this instance believed she didn't have the right to look after her mother in her own home.

This is why you need powers of Attorney in place for you and your family.

Your options:

1. Obviously you can choose to do nothing and many do.

But the government may decide what happens to your family’s wellbeing, it could be placed entirely in their hands. You may need to go to Court to access your spouses or family members' money.

2. Instead, you could hire a solicitor to prepare your Powers of Attorney, but this is time-consuming and very expensive.

3. Thankfully, there’s a different option, which will get a Powers of Attorney quickly and at a leading price.

4. Get free specialist advice by calling 0800 011 9543

You will get through to an advisor who can explain the whole process of getting these documents in place and the timescales involved.

  • You may not be able to sell a property for a love one

  • You may not be able to make decisions on your health or a loved one’s health care needs – including end of life care.

These are just three examples of how the government doesn't always consider your wishes once you’ve lost the ability to make your own decisions.

The risks of not having a Power of Attorney

Should you lose capacity without a Power of Attorney – you will not have a decision on what happens to your health care needs.

The local council will decide on your health needs, including any care you may need. You or your family do not get to make those decisions. The local Council will then decide where you receive your care and will even assess you or your family for care home fees. This could have a huge impact on your estate and any monies left for your loved ones. This can be protected against.

When speaking with a Power of Attorney specialist – you will be able to speak about your health care wishes, as well what you can do to protect yourself or family members from paying care home fees.
